How it works
How a Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter works. The transmitting transducer T emits ultrasonic waves of a certain frequency to the bubbles and solid particles in the flowing liquid to produce scattered waves, and the scattered waves are received by the receiving transducer R, and its frequency change is proportional to the moving speed of the particles (or bubbles) (because the transducer has a certain directionality, the received scattered signal is basically emitted from near the center of the pipe). The relationship between the Doppler shift d and the flow velocity is shown in the following formula: Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter, which consists of an ultrasound flow transducer and a controller. The dual-frequency Doppler flowmeter is a new product whose controller enables the transducer to intermittently generate two continuous wave acoustic signals of different frequencies for a short period of time.
